selected IR chairman and founder Eric Lidow as this year's recipient
of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award is presented to an individual who has made a profound
and lasting impact on the electronics industry. Chairman of the Reed

Lidow founded International Rectifier in 1947 and was an early

The lifetime achievement award, part of the European Electronic
Industry Awards, was presented at the Elektra '06 gala in Munich on
